Hi, I’m Chioma Pitts. I’m a wife and mother to two rainbow babies. I am a Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula, Certified Childbirth Educator, and Infant Mental Health Endorsed professional with a heart for serving women and families through pregnancy, birth, and the transition into parenthood. As the founder of Over The Rainbow Doula & Parenting Services, I believe birth is sacred, powerful, and deeply personal. Every woman deserves to enter her birth experience feeling informed, respected, supported, and confident in her ability to make decisions for herself and her baby.
My passion for birth work comes from a desire to make sure families in my community, especially here in Eastern North Carolina, have access to compassionate, knowledgeable, and culturally responsive support. I want families to know they have someone in their corner who will listen to their concerns, help them understand their options, advocate alongside them, and remind them that their voice matters.
I have a special heart for mothers who are preparing to give birth after a difficult or traumatic experience, pregnancy after loss, or simply carrying fears from a previous birth. I believe every birth deserves to be approached as a new experience, with space for healing, hope, and the possibility of something different.
As a doula, I bring a calm and nurturing presence to the birth space. I support families with evidence-based education, comfort measures, continuous emotional and physical support, and advocacy, while honoring their values, their choices, and their unique birth story.
My work doesn't end when the baby arrives. Through my training and Infant Mental Health endorsement, I’m passionate about supporting the early connection between babies and their parents and helping families build a strong foundation for healthy attachment from the very beginning.
Ultimately, my goal is bigger than attending births. I want to help build a community where families feel supported before, during, and after birth.
My faith is at the heart of how I serve. I believe God is present in every part of the journey, and I am honored to be a source of encouragement, compassion, and support for the families He allows me to serve.
1 Peter 4:10 - Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
There is hope, there is healing, and there is always something beautiful waiting Over The Rainbow.
